Weekly Tech Tips 31 January 2021

Dear Friends! I hope everyone is doing well. Weekly Tech Tips It's too bad no one was able to try out parlay ideas at parlayideas.com ,  https://go.parlayideas.com?invite_code=hFpd%24fjWM .  They have an extensive section on professional development that makes it fun and easy for staff to participate either synchronously or asynchronously. Speaking of professional development I see there's been a lot of sharing going on and that's great. I myself am taking some edX courses and I believe I've already mentioned that I took a great course earlier last year at Coursera called Learning How to Think.  Speaking of edX and online courses, the class that I'm taking looks a lot like videos followed by questions. Which is a lot like Edpuzzle. I got good news. I was able to get our school a pro license via the Google teacher trainer network. There are lots of tools for magnifying students’ voices and assessing their ...

Not in Korea it’s not, ‘cause it will be new year all over again in less than a month. One of the many wonderful things about living in Korea. After a month-long break, I have enough material  to fill five pages, but I won’t. I’ll dole it out in manageable chunks like I always try to do. So let’s get to it. Weekly Tech Tips I realize that a lot of what I share is more suitable for the Middle and High Schools at GSIS. Today I learned about a product that can be used in K-12, but I think it really shines in the Elementary School environment. It’s called Drawp for Schools and they have recently partnered with  Google Classroom. It’s an app / Google Slides Addon to create and collaborate with digital drawing tools that adds a project management and lesson plan deployment tool for teachers with a built-in sharing platform for students, teachers and parents.  Her...
